Objectives

The company's objects are to promote any charitable purposes for the inhabitants of the area served by Inverclyde Council and its environs ('The Operating Area') and in particular the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness, and in furtherance thereof:- (i) to assist and support the voluntary sector, to represent and support the voluntary sector, to assist organisations in coming together for common purposes, and to enable local people to gain access to decision-making processes which affect their community (ii) to present the polices and concerns of voluntary organisations, to develop new ways of responding to need in partnership with statutory and other health, social work, education, housing, employment, environmental and recreational agencies and any others concerned with the social and economic regeneration of the Operating Area (iii) to develop an integrated strategy for the whole Operating Area, in conjunction with appropriate agencies and funding bodies, for promoting and supporting the voluntary sector in the Operating Area (iv) to do all such other things as will properly attain the above objectives
