    To promote the benefit of the youth of Blantyre and its environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary organisation and the youth thereof in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of the life for the said youth and furtherance thereof but not otherwise to secure the establishment of a Centre and co-operate with the Local statutory Authority in the maintenance and management of the Centre for activities promoted by the Centre
