    Objectives

    4.1 To relieve those in need within East Pollokshields and surrounding areas, and such other areas as the trustees shall determine from time to time ('the Operating Area')through the provision of quality, childcare in line with Government Guidelines, through a team of highly Qualified childcare workers, for children from birth Ito 16 years. 4.2 To advance citizenship and community development by enabling groups and parents/carers to participate fully in all aspects of community life. 4.3 To promote equality and diversity within the Operating Area through (a) encouraging interaction among children from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and (b) allowing their parents/carers to become involved in a variety of community events that they would not otherwise be able to attend. 4.4 To provide recreationaI facilities and organise recreational activities for the benefit of children and their families within the Operating Area. 4.5 To advance education through (a) the promotion and provision of training in the skills associated with care and supervision of children, 0 to 16 years ,and (b) providing childcare so that parents/carers of children within the Operating Area can access training courses, workshops and related activities.
