Objectives

To promote and encourage the following objects by charitable means, but not otherwise (a) To stimulate public interest in, and care for, the beauty, history and character of the district and its surroundings, being that peninsula bounded on the West by Loch Long and on the East by the Gareloch including the communities of Portincaple and Coulport but excluding the community of Garelochhead. (b) To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest and scrutinise all industrial and other development in the area. (c) To pursue these ends by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, conferences and publicity and the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature.
