Sexual violence remains a pervasive ....more Reports of incidents of sexual assault in Northern Ireland have doubled in ten years and most recently show a 15% increase compared between 2012/13-2013/14. Sexual violence remains a pervasive challenge across Northern Ireland and Victim Support receives referrals for every person in Northern Ireland who has been victim to sexual violence via a new opt in system operated by the justice system. This project will provide sensitive and appropriate support to people who have experienced sexual violence, coordinate medical and social care support, empower victims to have their voice heard and will advocate for the needs of victims at a strategic level to change policy.
