THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CENTRE SHALL BE:(A)TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LAMBETH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, OF INDIVIDUALS AGED 50 OR OVER, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.(B) IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECT THE CHARITY SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO ESTABLISH, OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ASIAN COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THESAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY).THE LAMBETH ASIAN CENTRE SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECRETARIAL IN RELIGION.
