NORFOLK LOWLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE CIO 

The main object of the CIO shall be to relieve suffering and distress amongst personsendangered by accidents or natural hazards or being in a vulnerable position, and in particular to promote and co-ordinate search and rescue arrangements in the county of Norfolk as directed by the Norfolk Constabulary, Norfolk Fire Service or other Appropriate Authority.

TO SUPPORT SEARCH AND RESCUE ACTIVITIES IN OTHER UNITED KINGDOM GEOGRAPHICAL REGIONS AS REQUESTED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF LOWLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE OR OTHER MEMBER TEAMS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF LOWLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE. 3. TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITIES IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS EXCEPT WHEN DIRECTED BY THE POLICE, FIRE SERVICE OR OTHER APPROPRIATED AUTHORITY THAT SEARCH AND RESCUE ACTIVITIES TAKE PRIORITY. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARITIES ACT 2011.
