THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE(1) TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP TO THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS OR SEEKING SANCTUARY BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND GUIDANCE TO ENABLE THEM TO BECOME ECONOMICALLY SELF-SUPPORTING ON AN ONGOING BASIS.(2) THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG PEOPLE WHO ARE REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS AND ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POSITION, BY:-(A) PROMOTING AND/OR CO-ORDINATING SERVICES AND FACILITIES TO ASSIST THEM TO ADAPT WITHIN A NEW COMMUNITY(B) PROVIDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES(C) PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL, ARTS AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS INVOLVING THE WIDER COMMUNITY THAT BUILDCONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM AND IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE (3) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS OR SEEKING SANCTUARY AND THEIR DEPENDENTS.(4) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING AND SOCIAL COHESION BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS.
