    Objectives

    1. To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in and around London and Hiraan region of Somalia by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;(b) advancing education; by providing vocational and life skills training.(c) relieving unemployment by offering mentorship programmes, signposting services as well as providing training and workshops to build young people’s confidence and gaining skills.(d) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living on benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.(e) providing support, education and practical advice to women and girls who have undergone or are at risk of undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM)(f) Advancing the education of the general public and practising communities in all areas related to FGM;(g) Raising awareness of FGM issues; and conducting workshops and seminars on the danger of FGM, the law in relation to FGM and support services available, leading to a reduction in the incidence of FGM in practicing communities.2. To support the charitable activities of the Galbur Foundation registered NGO in Somalia which are exclusively charitable in accordance with the laws of England and Wales in particular but not exclusively by:(a) the provision of education and shelter for orphaned children with disabilities in Hiraan region of Somalia(b) providing support for people suffering from mental health illness in Hiraan region of Somalia(c) the provision of emergency food support in the event of famine in Hiraan region of Somalia.?
