SAFE AND SOUND DORSET

Working with women for social inclusion, who are isolated, marginalised, at risk of exploitation or being trafficked. We do outreach on the streets around Boscombe, Bournemouth to meet girls at their most vulnerable. We invite them to our cafe and creative lifestyle drop in sessions five times a week where we have food/lunch together, sign post to services and run activities.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • One or more trustees receive payments or benefits from the charity for providing services to the charity
  • Why is the Board completely female?
  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
