An 18-month project enabling disabled adults and young people across Basildon in Essex to take part in various activities, including weekly coffee mornings, social groups, online socials and group training. The project also enables advice and support from staff, volunteers and peers around letter writing, benefits claims and appeals, and housing issues. In addition, a dedicated young people's programme engages disabled young people in forming and developing groups and creating befriending matches offering peer-to-peer support.

This two-year project provides a range of activities to build social connections between disabled people in Basildon, Essex, as well as their families and carers. Activities include coffee mornings, advice and support, trips to the cinema and areas of interest, and a Young People’s Programme, to encourage social interaction. There are also be training sessions to develop new skills, e.g., in IT. Participants shape the project via a user forum, evaluation workshops, and by giving individual feedback.
