The project ....more This two-year project was conceived by the residents of the Meadows Estate in West Hounslow and brings together residents of all ages to create artworks for display in public places. The project builds on the success of a previous arts project and residents meet together on a regular basis to plan, create and install artworks that will improve the environment and engage people of all ages. Residents create mosaics, painted murals, sculptures and photographic artworks working with inspirational artists. There will be twice yearly events to celebrate the artworks and the project enables people of different ages and from diverse cultural backgrounds to get to know each other better, challenge any preconceived perceptions residents have about each other and create even stronger and lasting links between Estate residents.
