The project is aimed at improving ....more The funding will cover the total cost of the project which will be delivered by White Ribbon Alliance in partnership with All4Maternity and My Surrogacy Journey. The project is aimed at improving access to information care and support for the LGBTQAI+ community who are beginning their journey into pregnancy and parenthood in England with a particular focus on those who identify as LGBTQIA and who are also from a minoritized ethnic community. The activities of the project build on existing work that the organisations have already been doing together. The organisations began working together in 2020 talking to and listening to the needs of the LGBTQAI+ community to identify the common barriers to accessing fair and equitable reproductive and maternity education and care. They came together as a formal partnership in late 2020 to act on the findings from their discussion with the community. They determined that a central digital resource that put education real life experience factual guidance as well as training for healthcare professionals together in one place to improve equity in parenting journeys for LGBTQAI+ parents was required.
