THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PERSONS WHO HAVE SUFFERED TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES, THEIR FAMILIES/CARERS IN TYNESIDE, BY THE PROVISION OF CARE, SUPPORT AND ADVICE SO THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED. IN FURTHERANCE THEREOF, BUT NOT OTHERWISE THE ASSOCIATION SHALL SEEK TO:(1) TO PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF ALL ASPECTS OF BRAIN INJURY;(2) TO PROVIDE INFORMATION, SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH BRAIN INJURY, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS AND RELEVANT PROFESSIONALS;(3) TO PROMOTE A CO-ORDINATED MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO BRAIN INJURY SCREENING, ACUTE CARE, ASSESSMENTS, REHABILITATION AND RETURN TO THE COMMUNITY;(4) TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF BRAIN INJURY;(5) TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WHICH WILL REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF BRAIN INJURY.
