ALPHA HOUSE CALDERDALE

Alpha House Calderdale houses and supports those who have multiple problems, including mental health, offending and substance misuse issues, who need structure and support to maintain stable, law-abiding and drug free lives in the community. We help these residents, as well as others attending our daycare provision, to achieve their goals and aspirations and build meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Objectives

To relieve persons who are in conditions of need or hardship relating to homelessness, as the result of offending, poor mental health and drugs and/or alcohol dependency and to relieve the distress caused thereby (particularly but not exclusively by the provision of a short term, (up to three years), residential supported housing scheme for those who are committed to a change in their lifestyle from offending and substance dependency and wish to address their mental health status. To serve Calderdale and in such other parts of the United Kingdom as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.To advance education (particularly but not exclusively) to assist persons to progress towards an industrious lifestyle who are disadvantaged due to a lack of education and/or vocational skills who are committed to a change in their lifestyle from offending and substance dependency by such means as the Trustees may consider appropriate in Calderdale and other parts of the United Kingdom as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.
