This funding will be used to embed six community play hubs across the Bradford district creating sustainable play spaces where families can come together with their children (aged 5-13 years) to access all-weather outdoor adventure play provision complemented by wider wraparound support for the whole family which is provided by local partner organisations. The project aims to build confidence in communities to take ownership of play develop and deliver accessible quality adventure play training reenergise dormant assets and provide a holistic family offer within the locality.

This two-year project delivered hands-on creative sessions for children and young people aged 5-14 at the Big Swing adventure playground in Eccleshill, Bradford, after school and during school holidays. A choice of activities was suggested by regular users of the playground, such as go-kart making, graffiti art and free running, offering the chance for participants to come together, learn new skills and build confidence as well as create stronger links with their community.
