A project for an inspirational volunteer bike leader-peer mentor to motivate and inspire 70 men in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse to visit new cycle tracks and new areas in groups of 10 on weekly and daily bike rides at any one time. It will include the purchase of 10 each new bikes, water bottles, plastic bottle cages, Bike locks and helmets stored securely in FtW premises. The aim is to re-focus users to improving their physical and mental wellbeing through boosting motivation, confidence and collaboration in team skills to promote a sense of freedom for the group and instigate natural highs, swapping drug use for driving bikes. The project will also include 3 bike ride leadership courses for the organisations volunteers.

The post will provide activities with focus on relapse prevention general living skills emotional resilience and employability. This aims to reduce the risk of anti social behaviour improve health mental wellbeing and future employment prospects.
