For the benefit of the inhabitants of Lanchester Parish and its neighbourhood in County Durham, with the aims of contributing to the well-being of the community and enhancing the lives of the inhabitants of the area, particularly those in need of assistance by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social or economic circumstances.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of age and gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
Established: 21 years
(24 years as a company)
