    ABOUT FACE - POOLE 

    About Face supports people who have received a diagnosis of cancer of the head & neck, their family and carers. At its Poole, Dorset based About Face Centre and elsewhere it offers one to one and group support by volunteers who have 'been there before' in terms of their own cancer experience The charity also supports trainee head & neck cancer surgeons, with a library and practical training suite.

    Objectives

    The Charity’s objects are the relief of patients in the United Kingdom diagnosed with cancer of the head and neck, and their families and carers, in particular (but without limitation) by: 2.1 providing care, information and support to such patients and their families and carers; 2.2 providing support to medical and nursing staff to assist them in the management and/or treatment of such patients; 2.3 providing educational and training facilities for the use of, and assisting in the education and training of, trainee surgeons and other medical professionals in relation to the treatment of cancer of the head and neck; and2.4 by the promotion of research for the public benefit in relation to the causes and treatment of cancer of the head and neck and publishing the useful results.
