National Lottery Community Fund The project runs a programme which is designed to enable older people to create and maintain weekly social and activity hubs, social events and outings. The project will use funding to extend their reach to the areas of North Uttlesford and Epping Forest, developing seven new social hubs in each area. Through joint working the project will achieve enhanced access to community groups and activities, develop digital access and training and arrange outings.

National Lottery Heritage Fund Following an 18 month successful pilot, the project will be rolled out to ten further locations to reduce loneliness and social isolation for older people living in and around Harlow. Through social hubs, a range of activities will be offered including lunch clubs neighbourhood support, friendship groups, days out, tea and chat groups. In addition twice per year additional events will focus on safety information and advice on how to remain independent within the home environment.
