This two-year project continues The Edge Acoustic Band for residents of the coastal town of Brixham, Devon. Twice-weekly free music workshops offer residents of all ages an opportunity to learn music of their choosing from a variety of genres and on a range of instruments, supported by experienced music practitioners. The group takes part in four annual live music events as well as performing at a range of community activities within the town, including local festivals and in care homes. The project supports a community of musicians to build confidence, wellbeing and new friendships, tackle loneliness and participate in the wider community. Participants take part in regular feedback sessions to ensure ownership of their project.
