The funding will be used to enable staff and supervised volunteers to continue to support lonely vulnerable and isolated individuals via befriending telephone calls in partnership with Sandwell MBC and SCVO. Beneficiaries are identified via referrals from professionals and concerned family and friends. The project aims to maintain a level of contact with those who require emotional support reducing loneliness while improving people’s confidence and mental wellbeing.
