    (1) THE TRUSTEES SHALL FIRST DEFRAY OUT OF THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY THE COST OF THE MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY AND ALL OTHER CHARGES AND OUTGOINGS PAYABLE IN RESPECT THEREOF. (2) TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT TOWN OF HAMPTON WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. (3) TO RELIEVE PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE SAID AREA WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED OR INFIRM. (PLEASE SEE SCHEMES FOR DETAILS).
