Objectives

THE OBJECTS OF THE OUTHOUSE ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION IN ESSEX AND SURROUNDING AREAS: 1) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: A) WORKING TO ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION AND INEQUALITY ON THE GROUNDS OF GENDER IDENTITY, GENDER EXPRESSION AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION; B) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS OF ISSUES RELATING TO SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER IDENTITY AND DISCRIMINATION AND THE NEEDS OF LGBTQ+ PEOPLE AND THE ISSUES AFFECTING THEIR COMMUNITIES; C) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN RELATION TO PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBTQ+; AND D) PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH LGBTQ+ PEOPLE MAY CONNECT AND BUILD A SENSE OF COMMUNITY. 2) THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONGST PEOPLE WHO ARE EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY, GENDER EXPRESSION OR GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT PREVENTING SUCH PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY.FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE:‘LGBTQ’ REFERS TO LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUESTIONING OR QUEER AND ‘+’ REFERS TO OTHER CATEGORIES INCLUDING NON-BINARY AND PANSEXUAL;REFERENCES TO ‘LGBTQ+ PEOPLE’ INCLUDES, BY EXTENSION, THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS/PARTNERS/FRIENDS.
