The funding will help develop and continue the organisation's awareness sessions and additional specific LGBTQ+ training health and wellbeing support counselling and young people projects. The project will include awareness sessions health and wellbeing support counselling and young peoples services. The need for support has increased during the pandemic especially for those who aren’t eligible for NHS services.The funding will help the organisation develop more specialist programmes to support identified needs to become a ‘one stop shop’ for the LGBTQ+ community to develop a wide range of partners who will support specific events around the LGBTQ+ community continue to be at the fore front of change by developing training programmes to initiate change and to become an organisation to challenge change in organisations.

Following a successful pilot Outhouse East will raise awareness and challenge negative attitudes towards LGBT people, living in and around Essex. The project will aim to gain greater awareness of services available and for local services to be better suited to meet their needs. Monthly awareness sessions to organisations and companies, health and social care providers and schools and other educational establishments, will provide information to enable them to better meet the needs of the LGBT community.
