MANSFIELD WILDLIFE RESCUE

Mansfield Wildlife Rescue provides help for injured, abandoned and orphaned native wildlife with the aim to return those in care back to their natural habitat. Some examples of the wildlife we look after are badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, birds of prey, swallows etc. The areas we cover are Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The centre has previously been run from the back garden of the applicant for over 18 years and then new project will increase the community engagement of the centre and help inspire young people into the animal care industry. The centre provides care rehab and release for injured native wildlife and has supported the placement of four college students so far. The centre will provide a focal point where an interest in nature can be combined with skills sharing and encouraging community cohesion enabling environmental care and stewardship.
