THE HULL LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT

The charity provides outreach support, both day and evening, along with peer group support sessions to women working in prostitution, and other vulnerable women, in the city of Hull. We offer friendship, advice and opportunity for change, including practical help and advice on sexual and general health, and housing.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending since inception
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers and there are significant future grants due to be received

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Why are there only 3 trustees?
  • Why is the Board completely female?

Financial issues to consider:

  • Income was lower than spending in the latest year
  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
