The aim behind the sessions will be to give participants the confidence to go and shop and prepare food on their own, that has a high nutritional value, at a cost they can afford. 2) The Vulcan Positive Lifestyle Project aims to increase health and well being through establishing fitness sessions exclusively for women and girls, that cater for all levels of fitness and ability. Sessions will be designed to be easily accessible, inclusive and fun. These will be combined with healthy eating/cooking sessions (highlighted above). 3) The project is also designed to develop social networks for women and girls. It seeks to give local women somewhere to socialise in a safe, non-judgemental environment. We hope that by running a weekly group for 38 weeks, women will get to know one another and it will break down some of the barriers that exist preventing them from taking part in regular exercise. The project seeks to build friendships and encourage positive relationships.
