EMMELINE'S PANTRY

We'd like to recruit a Development Worker for our schools outreach programme, peer support group and community garden activities.

Our project helps to reduce poverty in the local area and brings local people together through volunteering.

The organisation will use the funding to pay for staff expenses and supplies. This will enable the group to reach more people in need and expand the services they offer.

The outcome of the project is to work towards alleviating food poverty in the area, for vulnerable women and their families. To promote choice, for women who have had the choice taken away from them. Providing healthy, fresh and halal food, long life food, baby items, sanitary products, toiletries, clothes and toys to women with absolutely no recourse to public funds, in a way that encourages choice and does not discriminate against need. This will lead to healthier women, children and partners. Prevent starvation amongst vulnerable people. Improve the self worth and confidence of vulnerable women and break the cycle of poverty.
