RYE AND DISTRICT STREET PASTORS

Rye and District Street Pastors engage with people on the streets to care, listen and help all individuals regardless of colour, creed or race. We work together with other partners in the night-time economy to make our community a safer and better place. The areas we cover include Rye, Camber, Rye Harbour and Winchelsea Beach
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers and there are significant future grants due to be received
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Spending has fallen significantly over the last 5 years relative to the previous period but has stabilised more recently
  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
