COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITIES UK

The central aim and outcome of Compassionate Communities UK is to make the experiences of ill health, death, dying and loss a matter for our whole society by supporting people undergoing these experiences across the breadth of our society. Supportive communities exist wherever there are people, which is everywhere. We will all experience death, dying and loss and it is everybody?s business.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years, despite a decline more recently
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • There are only 3 trustees

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
