SURREY MINORITY ETHNIC FORUM LTD

The period April 2014 to March 2015 has been a year of intense activity- SMEF has consolidated its governance structures, increased the reach of its work, developed new projects and continued to raise the voice of ethnic communities in Surrey. We have amply met our charitable objectives by supporting our diverse membership of 54 ethnic community groups to remain active and engaged citizens.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government and there are significant future grants due to be received
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of age and dynamic in terms of composition

Financial issues to consider:

  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
