The funding will be used to support people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) especially as a symptom of long term Covid by providing a programme of workshops (face to face and online) and events. The project aims to support people to self-manage their fatigue and recover reduce social isolation and create a peer support network as well as offer activities to increase physical and mental wellbeing.

This one-year project enables people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or long-Covid to meet and support each other by sharing their experiences to help understand, self-manage and recover from their conditions. Sessions will take place in North and South Birmingham, where attendees will participate in group discussion and one-to-one per support focusing on diet and nutrition, exercise, meditation, pacing and medication. The programme primarily functions as a social group, bringing together people with a shared experience to learn from one another.

The project has been expanded to include outreach work, which will see the educational programme delivered through the local support groups. Beneficiaries will learn techniques and approaches to help manage their condition and improve their wellbeing.
