WOODMEADOW TRUST

Woodmeadow Trust is a pioneering charity taking practical action for nature and people by creating woodmeadows and inspiring others to plant and look after these exceptional habitats. We aim to promote woodmeadows throughout the UK whilst continuing to develop our flagship site, Three Hagges Woodmeadow, near York.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Financial issues to consider:

  • There has been a change of accounting period recently, so trends may be hard to determine
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
