WIGAN & LEIGH PEOPLE FIRST

Wigan & Leigh People First is a user led self advocacy charity for people with Learning Disabilities. We try and make sure that people with learning disabilities have a voice and are listened too. We listen to what our members have to say and campaign about the things that are important to them. We develop projects that support the hopes & dreams of our membership.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received modest backing from a grant maker recently and there are significant future grants due to be received

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • There have been multiple defaults for filing returns
  • Why are there only 4 trustees?
  • Returns have been filed late on 2 occasions over the last 5 years and the current period appears to have been extended

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
