The funding will be used to employ two part time support workers and cover overheads and some small capital items (CCTV/panic buttons/mobile phones etc) for three years. The project helps women many have had their children removed from them where their lifestyles and mental health issues mean that they are not appropriate for refuges where they would cohabit with children. To extend the impact to a wider group of women specialist women’s workers will un sessions within other hubs that will be closed off for an afternoon every week for women’s only access. The project will empower women who will be engaged to take back control over their lives and make positive change.
