    4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 Helping people affected by disaster and pandemics 4.2 The prevention or relief of poverty 4.3 Assisting the needy with food, healthcare, schooling and clothing 4.4 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage 4.5 To promote and facilitate the advancement of Muslim culture and teachings and its ethos, within the Muslim community and the rest of the community at large, thereby providing better knowledge and understanding of Muslim culture by other communities and promoting integration of other diverse communities. 4.6 To promote the physical, intellectual, social, moral and spiritual development of all members of the Muslim community with an emphasis on young people, and by providing a broad range of educational, recreational and spiritual activities and To promote racial and religious harmony and mutual respect between the Muslim community and other communities, thus enabling the Muslim community to participate in and fully contribute to all aspects of civic life
