    The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Dumfries and Galloway, with the following purposes: The advancement of education through the Duke of Edinburgh?s Award locally and opportunities for outdoor learning The advancement of citizenship or community development including the pooling of resources such as equipment, staffing and facilities. this may include the sharing of instructors and assessors, the joining together of groups for activities and for national, regional or county events. To establish, or assist with, any special project to develop outdoor learning experiences and residentials in targeted areas or communities.
