    Objectives

    To advance education including the promotion of awareness of the Watershed of Scotland as a geographic feature as well as a unique wilder landscape in Scotland and the promotion of wider understanding as well as appreciation of the quality of the natural environment on the Watershed. To advance culture and heritage, through art and research projects, focusing on the landscape on and around the Watershed of Scotland as well as on the local history (including cultural elements) associated with the area. To provide outdoor recreational activities to the general public with particular focus on young people with the object of improving the conditions of life for the participants and promoting the health benefits of open-air recreational pursuits in wild areas. To advance environmental protection and improvement by raising awareness of the unique environmental qualities of the landscape on and around the Watershed through public events, art and research projects as well as by engaging and co-operating with the local and national environmental organisations that have an active presence on the Watershed.
