Objectives

The objects for which the Company is established are (a) the advancement of community development by developing, regenerating and sustaining the area known as The Barras & surrounding districts in Glasgow's East End, (b) the prevention and relief of poverty through: i) improving employability for those experiencing barriers to gaining employment, with the focus on those with barriers to employment such as young people, older people, longer term unemployed people and those with disabilities or special needs. (c) the advancement of education and training by: delivering high quality training programmes focusing on sectors where there are opportunities for employment such as retail, hospitality, trades' crafts/trades skills and care as well as accessing continued support, mentoring and professional development services during employment from our partners. working collaboratively with other organisations and groups including the local authority, DWP, funders, schools and charities as well as local businesses in order to develop the service and extend its benefits whilst building capacity in partner organisations & (d) advancing such similar purposes, projects, initiatives or activities as the Directors may consider appropriate which further these objects and are in conformance with the charitable aims of the company (?the Objects').
