Objectives
2 The company’s objects are: 2.1 the advancement of public participation in sport primarily in the north Glasgow area through the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of participation in sporting activities and acting as advisers in relation the development of sporting activities. 2.2 the advancement of health primarily in the north Glasgow area through the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of the benefits of physical activity an provision of assistance in relation to sports-related and healthy lifestyle matters. 2.3 the advancement of community development primarily in the north Glasgow area through the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of participation in football clubs and other sports clubs, literacy, numeracy, employment skills, life skills, social inclusion, and social activities to all sections of the community. 2.4 the promotion of equality and diversity by encouraging participation and integration into a range of inclusive and accessible programmes which strive to bring together all sections of the community, regardless of race, religion or creed, age, gender, sexuality or physical ability. 2.5 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 2.6 the advancement of education primarily in the north Glasgow area through the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of programmes and activities which have educational value. 2.7 using the income and capital of the company, at such time or times and in such amounts as the Trustees think fit, for the giving of grants, donations, gifts or loans, to individuals or organisations as the Trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion think fit, where doing so would further one or more of the following purposes (primarily, but not exclusively, in the north Glasgow area): (a) the prevention or relief of poverty, (b) the advancement of education, (c) the advancement of religion, (d) the advancement of health, (e) the saving of lives, (f) the advancement of citizenship or community development, (g) the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, (h) the advancement of public participation in sport, (i) the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, (j) the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation, (k) the promotion of religious or racial harmony, (l) the promotion of equality and diversity, (m) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement, (n) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, (o) the advancement of animal welfare.
