Objectives

The company's objects are: 4.1 To advance the visual and applied arts, heritage and culture. 4.2 To provide recreational facilities, and organise recreational activities (in furtherance of article 4.1), with such facilities/activities being made available to members of the public at large, with the object of improving their conditions of life. 4.3 - To advance education through promoting knowledge, lifelong learning opportunities and active citizenship. 4.4 To advance citizenship and/or community development (which may include the promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector and/or the effectiveness or efficiency of charities). 4.5 To advance such similar charitable purposes as the directors may consider appropriate from time to time, and all through the provision of services (including those entrusted to it by Perth and Kinross Council and those taken forward in partnership with such other bodies as may be necessary and appropriate), which contribute to advancing wellbeing (primarily the wellbeing of residents of the area served by Perth and Kinross Council) including: a) collecting, preserving and interpreting the permanent museum and fine art collections held in stewardship by Perth and Kinross Council. b) advancing those visual and applied arts which are of national and international significance. c) developing the use of library, local studies and archive services. d) operating, managing and developing Cultural Facilities (including arrangements to facilitate access to such facilities by those on lower incomes or with special needs and to encourage wider participation in cultural activities). and e) developing and delivering Cultural Activities and events directed towards wider participation in such activities.
