Comprendre Records operate along the following principles:- - Comprendre Records will exist as a DIY record label that will support artists without locking them into complicated, long and financially questionable contracts. - Music and sound release contracts with artists will run on a rolling basis until termination is agreed by both parties. Artists will not be obliged to release a certain number of records to fulfill their contract obligations. - Comprendre Records will aim to publish at a minimum, between one and three music /sound recorded releases per year. - Comprendre Records will provide opportunities for two artists per release (a musician and/or sound artists and a visual artist). - Comprendre Records will release projects as CD and Digital Download unless another format is requested by the artist(s). If another release format is requested, this will be in conjunction with the above and may incur the artist additional publishing fees.
