Objectives

(a) to promote and advance heritage, culture and environmental protection or improvement for the public benefit, in particular (but without limitation) by restoring, maintaining, permanently preserving, and making accessible to the public the Scheduled Ancient Monument which is Ellon Castle Gardens, in order to conserve and facilitate access to a place of historical interest and encourage interest in local history while also encouraging the conservation of the natural environment for the benefit of the local community and the wider public through the promotion of gardening, plant management and conservation works in relation to Ellon Castle Gardens or any other similar gardens which operate in order to advance heritage (?heritage gardens?). (b) to advance education in relation to heritage gardens, by educating, advising and encouraging members of the public in relation to matters relating to heritage gardens. (c) to promote heritage gardens at all levels of cultural and educational life in Scotland and elsewhere, and to advance community development by increasing or promoting the involvement of individuals in community activity through the provision or promotion of heritage gardens. and (b) to promote such similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit.
