Objectives

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund at their sole discretion to make grants, loans or payments out of the income or capital of the Trust Fund to or in furtherance of the following objects: a) The protection, improvement and enhancement of buildings and artefacts of architectural, historical, educational or other interest within the area of the Trust as specified above, with a view to securing public access to such buildings and the permanent display for the benefits of the public of such artefacts for the purposes, of research, study or recreation. b) The provision, development and improvement of recreational facilities for the use of the public within and around the defined area of the Trust and the conservation and preservation of the natural beauty and the improvement of the amenity of the area for the benefit of the public at large and the securing of public access to such area for the purpose of research, study or recreation c) To promote the benefits of the inhabitants of the defined area, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local Authorities, other Statutory and Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants d) Such other purpose or purposes charitable in law as the Trustees shall from time to time determine
