Objectives

(1) To provide in the interests of social welfare facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation available to the public at large within the area covered by the former Cumnock and Doon Valley District including without prejudice to that generality the towns and villages of Cumnock. New Cumnock, Dalleagles, Muirkirk, Cronberry, Lugar, Logan, Auchinleck, Catrine, Sorn, Mauchline, Ochiltree, Skares, Drongan and environs ('the Operating Area') with a view to improving their conditions of life. (2) To promote and/or provide training in skill of all kinds. particularly such skills as will assist residents of the Operating Area in obtaining paid employment. (3) To promote, establish, operate and/or support other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within the Operating Area.
