Objectives

(a) to secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a community centre on Isle of Eigg for activities promoted by the company in furtherance of its objects, or by any other Company or Association or unincorporated body having objects altogether or in part similar to those of the Company. (b) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Isle of Eigg and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (c) to relieve poverty, to encourage training, advancement of education, and the promotion of industry and commerce for the benefit of the public on Isle of Eigg through (One) assisting people to find employment or to train or retrain them for employment as a means of relieving their poverty, (Two) the provisions of advice and assistance with regard to the establishment and operation of organisations which are established for the promotion of industry and commerce for the benefit of the public on Isle of Eigg, (Three) the provision of community enterprises for the benefit of the public on Isle of Eigg, (Four) the provision of training opportunities.
