    The Trust Estate shall be held in the name of the Trustees and applied for the following charitable purposes only:- (One) for the advancement of education in the United Kingdom by stimulating public interest in and care for buildings and any other objects of beauty, history and character wheresoever situated. and in furtherance of said objects to organise, present, produce, manage, promote or assist in so doing exhibitions, lectures, gatherings, conferences, publications, films and any other presentations and activities of an educational and artistic or rural nature. and to establish, provide, and operate premises and other property suitable for these purposes and generally to provide refreshment and travel arrangements only for the convenience of those attending said activities, and (Two) in particular to (a) hold religious services and (b) promote the establishment of a rural museum in the neighbourhood of Crawfordjohn, Lanarkshire, and to encourage its use as a centre for education and artistic activity and dissemination of knowledge.
