    Objectives

    (A) To organise and co-ordinate the training in all or any branches of the engineering trade of employees of any person, firm or corporation carrying on in whole or in part the business of engineering or carrying on any other business in which engineers are employed and similarly to organise and co-ordinate the training of any other persons in all or any branches of such trade, to consider measures calculated to promote such training, to collect and disseminate statistical and other information connected with such training and to do all such other lawful things as shall achieve and maintain a high standard of training for such employees and other persons. (B) To advance the theoretical and practical education and training of persons engaged or intending to be engaged in the engineering industry as defined in legislation enacted under the Industrial Training Act,I' 1982 or any Act amending or replacing the same. (C) In addition to the foregoing objects, to extend such provision or assistance to the training or education of members of the public generally.
