The Association is established for charitable purposes only within the United Kingdom as are within the meaning assigned to the terms 'charitable purposes' in the context of sections 505 and 506 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 or any subsequent amendment thereto or re-enactment for the time being in force and in particular (but without prejudice to the generality) to work for the preservation and protection of the good health, welfare, and education and the alleviation of poverty and distress of single parent families and others in necessitous circumstances. (a) by providing a range of services for the benefit of single parents and others in necessitous circumstances. (b) by providing a focus and forum for organisations and individuals concerned with the welfare of single parent families and others in necessitous circumstances. (c) by developing public awareness of and promoting and encouraging research into the needs of single parent families and others in necessitous circumstances.
